Varsity Boys Track District Champions


Congratulations goes out to our Varsity Boys Track and Field being for awarded the 31-5A District Championship! On April 4th and April 6th, our boys competed at the PSJA Stadium to fight for the district titles. With new head coach, Marcelino De La Fuente, he has proven his way through the athletes as they display their hard work on the track. As a result, Parker Barrett was named the district champ for high jump and shot put. Michael Landavazo was named the district champ for the 110 meter hurdles. Our 4×400 relay team, which includes Franky Aranda, Jason Cavazos, Octavio Morales, and Lavar Lindo, finished in 1st place, our 4×200 relay team, including Roel Cajero, Diego Perez, Lavar Lindo, and Aziel Gomez, finished in 1st place, and finally, our 4×100 relay team, including Lavar Lindo, Diego Perez, Aziel Gomez, and Chis’mere Mallard, finished in 3rd place. In the 400 meter dash, Octavio Morales finished in 1st, Cristian Solis finished in 2nd, and Franky Aranda finished in 3rd place. Octavio also takes the silver medal in the 800 meter dash. Cesar Ramirez placed 4th in the mile race. In the 2o0 meter dash, Diego Perez placed 2nd and Isaac Galvan placed 3rd. The boys will be competing at Area on April 17, 2019 at PSJA Stadium.
