The 50’s time period play features the Owens family and family friends who plan for a picnic on Labor Day when a young man, a drifter in search of work, arrives in town. Havoc sets in when the family’s oldest daughter, Madge Owens, falls for the man, Hal Carter. The troupe’s cast includes Robert Garza as Hal Carter, Lusinda Garcia as Madge Owens, Carina Ramirez as Flo Owens, Veronica Palacios as Millie Owens, Ximena Muniz as Rosemary Sydney, Yajahira Jaimez as Mrs. Helen Potts, Jaron Rodriguez as Alan Seymour, Garrison Valle as Howard Bevans, Amber Dowling as Irma Kronkite, and Isabella Nordhausen as Christine Schoenwalder. The troupe competed at the 5A Zone competition at PSJA Southwest High School on March 1st against Rio Grande City, La Joya, and PSJA SW.
