Our girls varsity soccer team played a very tough game against our sister school, Sharyland High School. The two hour long game was so competitive that neither school was able to score a goal. Therefore they were forced to begin kicking for a penalty. Although Sharyland had many opportunities to score they were always stopped! Senior, Yulissa Acuna who has only been playing goalie for this season proved to be a threat. Another senior threat, Andrea Reyes will be signing to the University of Incarnate Word this week, choosing to continue her passion for soccer at the collegiate level. With the excitement of beating our biggest rival and highest competitor in the district, our Pioneer girls hope for an awesome season. The varsity girls are currently undefeated in district, 4-0. Pioneer girls soccer continues through district with the intent of winning and competing in playoffs.
